About

Join us for a unique educator professional development opportunity!  In this FREE workshop, you will think critically about how we use both human-made and natural defenses to protect coastal Louisiana.  We will use interactive models to experiment with coastal protections.  You will build and decorate your own Multiple Lines of Defense Model (MLODS) to take home with you. You will also learn ways to integrate the MLODS model and activities into your class curriculum to help students understand how our coast is protected and the value of those protections.

Date: Thursday, October 8th
Time: 4:30 - 7:30
Address: 8001 Lakeshore Drive

Participants for this workshop have been limited due to COVID-19.  We will be working outside, physically distanced, and with masks.
